Hyac, a 48-ton motor boat, was built in 1915 at Chicago, Illinois, for use as a pleasure craft on the Great Lakes. She was acquired by the Navy in 1917 and placed in service as Hyac (SP-216). She was returned to her owner in November 1918.
This page features our only view of the motor boat Hyac, and provides links to photographs of her while in Navy service.
