Lake Dymer (American Freighter, 1918).
Served as USS Lake Dymer (ID # 4131) in 1918-1919

Lake Dymer, a 2357 gross ton freighter, was built at Superior, Wisconsin, in 1918. Taken over by the U.S. Navy and placed in commission as USS Lake Dymer (ID # 4131) in September 1918, she crossed the Atlantic in October. During the next several months, the ship served as a coal carrier between British and French ports. Soon after her return to the United States in June 1919, USS Lake Dymer was decommissioned and returned to the U.S. Shipping Board. She was sold for scrap in 1926.

This page features our only views of the freighter Lake Dymer, which served as USS Lake Dymer in 1918-1919.
