Natoya (Motor Boat, 1909).
Served as USS Natoya (SP-396) in 1917-1919

Natoya, a 44½-foot motor pleasure boat built in 1909 was acquired by the Navy in June 1917 from her owner, R.M. Haddock of Ossining, New York, and placed in commission as USS Natoya (SP-396). She served through the rest of World War I as a patrol craft in the New York City area and was decommissioned in December 1918. Natoya was transferred to the U.S. Customs Service in April 1919.

Natoya

Photographed prior to World War I.
This motor boat was acquired by the Navy on 11 June 1917 and commissioned on 19 June 1917 as USS Natoya (SP-396). Following World War I operations as a patrol vessel, she was transferred to the U.S. Customs Service on 3 April 1919.
