Nokomis (U.S. Steam Yacht, 1913).
Served as USS Kwasind (SP-1233) in 1917-1919

Nokomis, a steam yacht of 303 gross tons, was built in 1914 at Brooklyn, New York. She was acquired by the Navy in May 1917, converted to a patrol vessel, and commissioned in December of that year as USS Kwasind (SP-1233). Her active service was mainly spent in the Caribbean area, based at Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She returned to the U.S. in June 1919 and was decommissioned early in July. Kwasind was sold in December 1919.

This page features the only views we have concerning the steam yacht Nokomis of 1913 and USS Kwasind (SP-1233).
