Radiant (American Tug, 1903)

Radiant, an 81 gross ton tug, was built in 1903 by the Neafie & Levy Shipbuilding Company at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Though inspected during World War I for possible acquisition by the Navy and assigned the registry ID # 1324, she was not taken over and remained in the hands of her owners, the Atlantic Refining Company of Philadelphia.

Radiant
(American Harbor Tug, 1903)

Photographed in 1917 or earlier.
This tug, built in 1903 by the Neafie & Levy Shipbuilding Company of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was owned by the Atlantic Refining Company of Philadelphia. She was inspected by the Navy for possible World War I service, and assigned the registry ID # 1324, but was not taken over.

Tugs Brilliant (1903), Atlantic (1904) and Radiant (1903)

In port prior to World War I, possibly at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They were owned by the Atlantic Refining Company, of Philadelphia.
These tugs were considered for World War I Navy service and assigned registry identification numbers 1329, SP-859 and 1324 (respectively), but were not taken over.
