Sadie Ross, a 60.5 foot wooden steam harbor tug, was built at East Boston, Massachusetts, in 1904. She was acquired by the Navy in early June 1917 and placed in service as USS Sadie Ross (SP-736) soon afterwards. During the rest of World War I she was employed in the waters of northeastern New England. USS Sadie Ross was sold in August 1920.
This page features our only views of the tug Sadie Ross, which served as USS Sadie Ross (SP-736) during the World War I era.

to her Naval service. It was taken in harbor, from off her starboard
side, and shows her underway at low speed. |
