Tide (American Fishing Trawler, 1916)

Tide, a 303 gross ton steam-powered fishing trawler, was built at Manitowoc, Wisconsin, in 1916. She was later examined for possible Navy use as a minesweeper and assigned the registry number SP-953 . Though ordered taken over in mid-June 1918, the vessel was not actually acquired by the Navy.

Tide
(American Trawler, 1916)

In port, circa 1916-1918.
This trawler was ordered delivered to the Navy on 13 June 1918 for possible acquisition, but was not actually taken into service. She was assigned the Navy registry number SP-953.

The original print is in National Archives' Record Group 19-LCM.
