Ha-101 (Transport Submarine, 1944-1946)

Ha-101, lead ship of the 370-ton "SS" type of small transport submarines, was built at Senshu, Japan. Completed in December 1944, she was surrendered with the Japanese Navy's other surviving warships in September 1945 and scrapped in about 1946.

Tied up at the Yokosuka Naval Base, Japan, 7 September 1945. Three "Kairyu" type midget submarines are moored alongside the RO-58.
On the pier, at left, is a senior officers' motor launch, another boat and a crane. The submarine HA-101 is on the opposite side of the pier.
