USS Absegami (SP-371), 1917-1918.
Originally the Civilian Motor Boat Absegami

Absegami, a 75-foot motor boat, was built at New York City in 1916 as a civilian pleasure craft. She was leased by the Navy in early May 1917, a few days after being commissioned as USS Absegami (SP-371). During World War I, she was employed on patrol duties in vicinity of Delaware Bay and Cape May, New Jersey. Absegami was decommissioned and returned to her owner in early December 1918.

This page features all the views we have of USS Absegami and of the civilian motor boat Absegami.
