USS Charlie B. Mason (SP-1225), 1917-1918.
Name also cited as Charles B. Mason

USS Charlie B. Mason, a 45-foot motor patrol boat, was built in 1900 at Hopkins, Virginia, probably for use as a civilian fishing craft. She was chartered by the Navy for World War I service in June 1917 and served in Fifth Naval District waters for the rest of the conflict. Charlie B. Mason was returned to her owner, John K. Colona of Chincoteague, Virginia, in December 1918.

Note: This boat's name is cited in at least one source as Charles B. Mason. However, her official data card clearly gives her name as Charlie B. Mason.

This page features all the views we have concerning USS Charlie B. Mason (SP-1225).
