Hoga (YT-146, later YTB-146 & YTM-146), 1941-____

Hoga, a 325-ton harbor tug built at Morris Heights, New York. was placed in service in May 1941. She served in the Pearl Harbor area throughout World War II and was reclassified YTB-146 in May 1944. In June 1948, she was loaned to the City of Oakland, California, for service as a fireboat. Hoga remained in loan status for nearly five decades. She was again reclassified in February 1962, becoming YTM-146, and was officially placed "out of service" in July 1996. In December 1996 Hoga was transferred to the Maritime Administration for storage, and is presently laid up at Suisun Bay, California.
