USS Idylease (SP-119), 1917-1919.
Previously Civilian Motor Boat Idylease (1916)

USS Idylease, a 65-foot patrol boat, was built at City Island, New York, in 1916 as the civilian pleasure motor boat of the same name. She was acquired by the Navy in June 1917 and commissioned in the following month. Idylease served for the rest of World War I and during the initial post-war months in the Fifth Naval District, performing patrol and inspection duties in the vicinity of Hampton Roads and Norfook, Virginia. She was returned to her owner at the end of April 1919.

This page features the only views we have concerning USS Idylease (SP-119) and the civilian motor boat Idylease.
