USS John M. Bermingham (DE-530), 1944-1946

USS John M. Bermingham, a 1140-ton Everts class escort ship, was built at the Boston Navy Yard, Charlestown, Massachusetts. She was commissioned in April 1944 and began trans-Atlantic convoy escort operations in June, continuing that work until after the European war ended in May 1945. During the following summer, the ship was employed on training duty out of Miami, Florida. USS John M. Bermingham was decommissioned in October 1945 and scrapped in 1946.
