USS Kemah (SP-415), 1918-1920

USS Kemah, a patrol vessel, was built in 1917-1918 by Luders Marine Construction Company of Stamford, Connecticut, as the 300 gross ton diesel-powered yacht of the same name. In October 1917, while she was under construction, the Navy acquired her from her owner, F.E. Lewis II of New York City. She was placed in commission in mid-July 1918 and thereafter performed guard and patrol duties in the New York Harbor area. Kemah was decommissioned in September 1919 and sold in September 1920.

This page features the only views we have concerning USS Kemah (SP-415).
