USS LST-733, 1944-1947.

USS LST-733, a 2366-ton LST-511 class tank landing ship, was built at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Commissioned in April 1944, she took part in the invasions of Leyte, Mindoro and Okinawa during October 1944 -- April 1945. After Japan's surrender, she supported occupation activities in Asia until April 1946. LST-733 decommissioned in June 1946 and was sold in September 1947.

In San Francisco Bay, California, Spring 1946, upon her return to the United States from the Western Pacific. Note crewmen forward, waving at the photographer, and long "homeward bound" pennant trailing from her mast.
