USS Missouri (BB-63) at the New York Fleet Review, 27 October 1945

On 27 October 1945, USS Missouri participated in the great Navy Day Fleet Review held in the Hudson River off New York City. During the ceremonies, she hosted President Harry S. Truman, Secretary of the Navy James Forrestal and other dignitaries. On the following days, Missouri remained at New York on public display, and received thousands of civilian visitors.
