USS Northern Pacific (1917-1919) --
Under Repair, January-May 1919

After her January 1919 stranding ordeal USS Northern Pacific remained in New York Harbor, mainly pierside at South Brooklyn, until 11 February, when she entered the New York Navy Yard's Dry Dock Number Three. During the next three months her buckled port side bottom plating was renewed, her rudder repaired and the ship generally overhauled for further service. Northern Pacific left the dry dock on 10 May, with much refitting work still unfinished. On 28 June 1919 she left New York to begin her twelfth trans-Atlantic round-trip voyage.

This page features all the views we have concerning the repair of USS Northern Pacific after her January 1919 stranding.
