USS PC-574, a 173-foot submarine chaser, was built at Wilmington, Delaware, and commissioned in early July 1942. She operated in the Atlantic and Caribbean areas until March 1945, then was transferred to the Pacific for service with the Seventh Fleet. PC-574 was decommissioned in May 1946 at Pearl Harbor and sold in November of that year.
