USS Huntington (Armored Cruiser # 5) underway on 2 June 1917, with a Curtiss "F" type flying boat on her catapult. Port quarter high aerial view, very similar to Photo # NH 44221-A (seen above on this page), except that the aircraft is at the forward end of the catapult, in position for launching. NOTE ALSO that the date is given as 2 June, rather than 25 June 1917. USS Huntington (Armored Cruiser # 5) underway on 25 June 1917, with a Curtiss "F" type flying boat on her catapult. High aerial view, taken from almost directly above the ship's stern, looking down and somewhat forward. The aircraft is at the forward end of the catapult, in position for launching. Awnings are rigged as in Photo #s 80-G-452756 and NH 44721-A.
USS Huntington (Armored Cruiser # 5) at Pensacola, Florida, on 25 June 1917, with a kite balloon over her stern. Starboard quarter surface view (rather tight on the stern). The ship is at anchor, with her boat booms out and a steam picket boat is seen in broadside in the image's right side. An aircraft appears to be on her catapult. The kite balloon is floating at about mast top height.
