USS Walke (Destroyer # 34), 1911-1935 --
Repairing Hull Damage, circa March 1914

In March 1914, while in the vicinity of Dry Tortugas, Florida, Walke suffered underwater hull damage inboard of her starboard propeller shaft. Photographs of the resulting repair efforts, most dated 17 and 19 March, are presented on this page. Views of diving activities, a few dated 3 March 1914, may also be related to this incident.
