USS Wemootah (SP-201), 1917-1919.
Originally the civilian motor boat Wemootah (1916)

USS Wemootah, a 70-foot section patrol boat, was built at Morris Heights, New York, in 1916 as a pleasure craft. She was purchased by the Navy in mid-June 1917 and placed in commission in early July. For the rest of World War I Wemootah was based at Staten Island, patrolling lower New York Harbor and protecting the anti-submarine nets deployed there. Disarmed early in 1919, and presumably laid up at that time, she was sold in October 1919.

This page features all the views we have related to USS Wemootah (SP-201) and to the civilian motor boat Wemootah.
