Headquarters, U.S. Coast Guard.Subject: Manual of Organization Charts of Bureaus and Office of the Navy Department. 1. This Manual of Organization Charts of Bureaus and Large Offices in the Navy Department has been prepared for reference purposes on matters of organization within the Navy Department. It consists of a compilation of charts which were furnished by respective organizational units and represents a revision of the Manual originally published in January, 1943.
2. The details of organization structure have been projected to individual sections, and the functions of major divisions and branches have been shown on the charts.
3. It is planned ot issue revisions of the Manual at periodic intervals, at which time individual charts will be submitted ot bureaus and offices for changes which have occurred.
4. Recommendations for corrections and suggestions for improving or extending the usefulness of this Manual are invited and should be forwarded to the Office of the Management Engineer.
