Enough Re's you think? Eric Sideman's email address is esideman@mofga.org,
for those who want to volunteer to be on the new NOSB Compost Task Force.
Re-reading the 10/19 NOSB transcript, I see it is being assembled to look
only at Compost Tea, or so it seems. While that's great, I'd hoped for
more, especially a better look at composted/vermicomposted manures. Some
distinction needs to be made between raw manure and manure that has been
composted, so I hope whoever goes forward will carry that along. Nobody has
said anything about it, but I am still real concerned about the new,
"processed manure materials" category of "compost", also. Surely some
research needs to be seen showing it is safe, too.
For Jose, I didn't mean to imply micronized compost wasn't any good, simply
that unground compost with its moisture intact seems better. Why couldn't
you just use a steeped tea with media containment or filtered down for your
orifice sizes? Seems like a somewhat easier path. Another curiosity I have
is if you have to clean drip lines (in either case, it seems...) with
peroxide or vinegar, what do you do with the wash water?
