Not having handled palm fronds, suggest folding part of the frond into
the little bowl of a hand held garlic press and squeezing plant juice
(sap) onto the
refractometer plate. Works for me with vegetables and fruit. Garlic
press and
refractometers go hand in hand. Problem is with bananas.

Seriously, how can I get enough fluid from a palm frond to brix?
What king of press is used on vegetables?
