Rates of molasses depend on what you are trying to achieve.
Just a little bacterial growth? Then low concentrations.
Fungal enhancement? Then above 5%. Yes, that's alot of molasses, but it
works as a sticker too at the high concentrations.
The higher rates of moalsses as better for growing fungi and selecting
against human pathogens is based on a paper we just submitted to a
scientific journal to publish.
If you use the high concentrations, make sure you have a sprayer that can
deal with syrup.
