Here's a formal definition of micron and mesh:

      Micron: One-millionth of a meter, or ten to the minus sixth meter (=
abbreviated um), the unit used for measuring microorganisms.

      Mesh: [n] the number of opening per inch of a screen

obably get caught in too fine a mesh even if it were lots bigger than 3.5..=
