QUESTION from Chris:

>What happens if you use the tea straight for foliar coverage with a very low amount of hydrolysate for food/activation (say a teaspoon per 5 gallons or less)?

Once you add food to a "finished tea", the organisms can start using that food very quickly. You have to spray that tea out quickly, or aerate the tea in the sprayer.

The food and organisms on the leaf surface help keep the organisms active and growing. So, this is a good thing for improving coverage.

>Does this compensate for tea in which the numbers are not optimal?

It can compensate, just please make sure that you get the coverage that you need.

>Are there problems or considerations for this approach? Cost is not a significant factor, since in small applications I
don't brew less than 15 gallons anyhow.

The consideration is the growth of the organisms while still in the sprayer. Aeration is important.

Hope this helps!
