I concur. We should not let this one non believer dissuade us from many of us who do believe and have had incredible results utilizing the methods of sustainable gardening practices.
I for one was in the same court as Jeff with regard to Miracle Grow and every thing chemical based.
We moved into a new home in Gig Harbor, Washington in the fall of 2002 and decided to do all of our plantings using organic methods and products solely.
Our neighbors on the other hand utilized the local Chem-Lawn Man, who by the way every time he showed up to spray, had to wear rubber gloves and a face mask to keep himself from inhaling the chemical vapors coming from his applications.
We have over 7,000 sq. ft. of lawn and 2,000 sq.ft. of plants that we have planted.
We started with good humus/compost and have been applying humus teas on a regular basis.
The results are unbelievable. We have the lushest lawn in the neighborhood and the most amazing gardens.
So our landscaping with compost/humus and compost/humus teas are creating a safe and environmentally friendly and beautiful alternative to chemical based products.
