   Hardware store and other home test kits are notoriously inaccurate. IF your simple test
yields an extreme reading then I would suggest a professional lab test be obtained before
doing any amendents. In either case it would be better, but if you amended for an extreme
reading then you may end up with a soil condition that is actually on the other side that
could be just as bad.
