[compost_tea] BREWERS-Laminar Flow or Turbulent Flow

Are 90 degree elbows really an issue? I'm not so sure. Any time a
liqiud is forced around a bend there is an increase in the coefficient
of friction and turbulent flow is created. Probably explains why
elbows wash out allot more than straight sections of piping? How much
turbulent flow can microbes handle? If you own a brewer with less than
ideal plumbing and taking it apart all of the time to clean is not
working for you. Then why not increase the flow rate in order to
create more turbulent flow to help scour the Bio-slime away? Might
even add a little scouring agent to help out? 2 speed
motor would be nice, slow speed for brewing and high-high speed for
cleaning? Just a thought, take care Hi_Yield1.
