Bob,
The best practices effort belongs to this group, because it is the
source of the information. I feel strongly about that. So no, it
won't be taken away from the group.
I'm just talking about taking away the actual process of putting it
together and working on it elsewhere as the focus for my time, not
trying to exhort or persuade or convince anybody on the list that
sharing information or providing facts in posts or following the
groups rules is the way to go. Like Ted indicates, there's somebody
like me in every group he's ever been in.
Yeah, I remember 8th grade -- when the teacher was out of the room
one time, Eddie Heverly tried to get fresh with me. I put my arm
around his shoulder like I was going along with it and flipped him
into the garbage can in front of the whole study hall. I was
actually pretty amazed that it worked. Helped that he was only
perching on the edge of the teacher's desk. guess I'd been reading
too much Nancy Drew...
But - Eddie is off topic.
Have thought about your point on being tough and frankly, being
treated rudely on this list is not an exercise in character building
for me. I have bigger fish to fry. But I don't hold grudges -- I
just remove myself from the BS that is permitted to happen here.
They'll --the fish -- come back into this "frying pan" when they're
a little more than...half baked. (grin). I promise.

rude. In any group you need armour enough to deflect the few
spitballs that are thown. Remember 8th grade? Spitballs? Some here
never got past that way of writing. If you leave they win. toughen
up ! Bob
