[compost_tea] All hyphae are fungi

> Fungi are a whole different issue. I have read on this list that hyphae indicate fungi. That isn't 100% true. Those are the roots. Evidence of roots is no guarantee that fungi

All hyphae are fungi. Period. Full stop. Look up the definition of hyphae.

It is extremely easy to differentiate roots from hyphae. Come to SFI, and I will SHOW you the difference.

Fungi grow in compost tea ALL THE TIME, if you have food and air for them.

Anyone who wants to doubt that fungi grow in tea are welcome to come to SFI, any SFI lab, and take a look at their tea and at a tea made properly. I will demonstrate fungi growing in tea.

If anyone wants to say that fungi don't grow in properly aerated compsot tea, I can show you reams of data clearly showing that beneficial fungi grow in actively aerated compost tea.

Now, if anaerobic tea wa meant, then that's a different story, but a goodly percentage of the time, truly anaerobic compost tea will kill your plants. Too much variabiliy, and too poorly documented parameters with anaerobic teas. Lots more work to be done before the reliability of no-air tea can be proven.

AACT is what I discuss, because are getting really close to being able to guarantee that if you make sure the tea stays aerobic, and has good growth of beneficial bacteria and fungi, plant surfaces will be protected.

You can't document that kind of success if fungi aren't growing in the tea.
