Bob:

If you can "jump start" a second batch of AACT in only an hour or so, that
would enable large-volume users to have a smaller tea machine, which means
less investment, less to clean, less to store, less to haul around. It
sounds like a good thing.

CACT Continuing Aerated Compost TEA

This cycle has enjoyed limited test. More tests are in progress. Tests show
no problem. The logic seems good. The system works well with the Bob's
line of brewers and may work with most brewers. Further testing to quantify
details will follow. The cycle is presented here to help people like Betsy
Ross* who has a large area to cover and needs more ACT than can be produced
in the usual batch-at-a-time method.

The acceleration in ACT product is based on the fact that, starting with an
active load of ACT, a 'bloom' develop quickly when more nutrients are added.
This cycle goes a step further by adding pre activated compost and nutrients
to the brew while there is still at least half a load of ACT in the system.
Indications from D O2 consumption are that the ACT eaches a high level of
activity and good saturation of microbes within an hour of adding this
continuing 'load' of compost and nutrients. .

We are particularly interested in offering this cycle with our 500, 750,
1000 and 1500 g systems. Aimed to take care of farms with one to several k
acres to manage, these mobile brewers go directly to the site where ACT is
being applied. Sometimes they become the application tank while continuing
to brew ACT.

How long can a cycle run without a break? Haven't proven that yet. Out to 7
days A OK. May depend on machine, compost, rate of draw, temperature.
Tests will tell.

Some interest comes from nurseries and tea centers that want a high ready
volume at all times. Contract applicators find it a benefit to "never run
out" while gong from job to job all day. While the total load of 500 or 1000
gallons is manageable on a truck or trailer, a days heavy application may
demand more. This cycle system permits almost unlimited volume of ACT.
Golf courses, park departments and others also find high volumes make ACT a
practical method of plant and soil management.

The schedule for production runs from 100 to 300 gallons per hour around the
clock from these systems on this cycle. Interuption of the cycle like
overnight is OK. If you have interest in such volume please contact
