--Ted , This year I plan to make compost with wheat and oat

Take the report I sent in on parks and see if you can get your city to fund=
a similar project. You can excerpt from the report but please cite your=
sources. I would suggest hitting them on toxic run off into streams and d=
rinking water aquifer pollution that results from too many nitrates in the =
soil. You might want to try the public exposure to toxic chemicals argumen=
t. A lot of people don't like their kids rolling around in chemical fertil=
izers.

There is a whole new federal guideline coming into effect that covers storm=
run off and chemical pollution from asphalt as well as turf. I am not loo=
king this up but I think it comes under Title 25 of ??? I'll look it up to=
morrow and see if I can get the exact citation. You may be able to use tha=
t. If you want to turn them on to us, I will work out something so that we=
take a consulting fee and you get the contract. That way we both do OK an=
d you can continue on after the first experiments are done. In essence, we=
would design the project and you would run the project. After you have be=
en through it once, you should be able to move forward on your own. We can=
still write proposals and such if you need it.

Golf courses are tougher because many are huge chemical users and use recyc=
led water already. Usually they are huge water users and if you can show e=
ven a 15% reduction in potable water use, you will be saving them a lot of =
money. I don't know what an acre-foot of water is going for out there but =
here it is jumping 1000%. I think I would stress water reduction and reduce=
d management costs long term. Read the report and see if you find anything=
in it you can use as an argument. You may want to skip to the conclusions =
and recommendatons and then backtrack to find substantiation in the report.=

Anyway, I would hit a bunch of people and also see if your city has a Utili=
ties Conservation Department. Usually these guys are under some pressure t=
o reduce muni use of water so you might get a test project with them that c=
an be expanded into Parks and Rec.

If you use us, you may be able to skip the test project and go right into i=
mplementation. We have done it and are implementing our system for the who=
le city and starting to get the state interested. Call and we can talk abo=
ut it if you are interested. If not, good luck and I will help where I can=
.
