Huh? Dennis' credentials? Flatland guy doing what he's trying to do is
beyond reproach to me. I can only wish him all the best. Go forth and
produce! Go to market! Prosper!

I blew my response to Bill because I didn't understand Vegas gambling lingo,
Tom tells me. When I replied
> Will the casino gardener cash in his chips?
> > I hope so.
I meant to say I hoped there would be many continuing chips to cash in, not
to quit. Not being a gambler I didn't get the parlance. Our casino
gardener is into really good stuff and I wholeheartedly support that. His
success is remarkable and needs to be done everywhere. Do-able everywhere,
in fact.

I do differ however with Tom's take on nose tests. Can't imagine how you'd
get a good test on compost that reeked, think there might be some lab/batch
questions there (e.g., were anaerobics tested?). ACT without a DO meter
needs to be do-able. Agree makers of both machines and tea for others
should use them.

For home and small makers of both compost and tea, I think the nose knows.
It's a really good natural indicator. I trust both biology and noses to be
safe. If smells other than you want or intended happen, I'd doubt it's a
good foliar spray but likely useful for several other soil uses.

USNOP is full of bull on compost tea, too. It's not nearly as dangerous as
they pose. What's the word - dumbkopfs? Let's hope a good NOSB
recommendation emerges next month.
