Hi folks,
I've got about 17 cubic yards of mostly hardwood wood chips and green
leaves in a pile that is 15' x 6' x 5'high. Lat fall I "blended"
with the bucket on the tractor about a ton of hi-cal ag lime and
about half a ton of compost. The pile has sat, uncovered, over the
winter. I would like to spread the chips/compost in our orchard and
am wondering if anyone can suggest what I might add to the pile to
encourage the right biology before I put it on the orchard.
I have an early 50 gal Microbbrewer, a Bobo and a KIS machine ant
most of the ingredients to make a tea. Any suggestions?
Thanks for all the helpful hints. The worms are just beginning to
roust here in southern Maine. Yee ha!
