Thank-you for the clarification.
I found Hoitink's paper very interesting. It indicates that "compost
water extracts" can have a positive effect. It also supports your
theory that to have consistency a 24 hour aerobic system may be the
best direction. At least that's my read, and our experience working
together.
Hopefully this work, done in 1997-1998 was a preliminary to
additional work. I was amazed to learn that it can take so long from
the study to a published date. I've contacted Hoitink and hopefully
there is more, or has been more, work done.
Could you share the citation or the source for the "recent paper that
was presented at a composting symposium in Spain where I have put
together significant information on the work we have done on blight
on tomato, as well mildew on grapes."
Perhaps the nicest thing about you academic types, is the willingness
to share data!
