"Bordeaux soup": water diluted copper sulphate + lime = gypsum + copper hydroxide (copper is the fungicide).

Been in use a long time. Thank you ANdres for the information on sulfur use in Roman and Greek agriculture. Do you remember where you found that information? It's always fun to learn of where these materials were first reported.
