The word "economism" as the name of a Marxist-Leninist heresy is
Lenin's.  It refers to a movement to form trade unions in
pre-revolutionary Russia whose objectives would be to get more wages -
not to establish socialism.  American trade unions were economist in
this sense.  When Samuel Gompers, the first President of the American
Federation of Labor, was asked what does labor want, he answered
"More".  Unionized American workers indeed got more than European
workers whose unions also had political objectives.

I'm surprised Yuri doesn't know that.
