I also caught a glimpse of the Thick-billed Murre at Fort Macon at lunch
time
today. I'd like to thank Jill F. and Tommy W. for letting me take a look
through
their scope which had the Murre located.
I went back to Fort Macon after work hoping for a better look. I couldn't
locate
the Murre but I was able to spot 2 Razorbills at 5:30-5:50PM swimming slowly
in a westward
direction. These birds were only 10-20 feet from shore providing excellent
views!
The Razorbills were seen a few hundred yards west of the jetty at Fort
Macon.
