The following are highlights of the 3 hour Wednesday birdwalk at Charleston
County's Caw Caw Park in Ravenel, SC led by Perry Nugent at 8:30 am. A

58 species were seen and/or heard. The most interesting were; 2 Anhingas, 2
Wood Storks, 3 Ospreys ( 2 on nest ), 2 adult Bald Eagles and baby on nest,
12 Red-shouldered Hawks, 2 Red-tailed Hawks, 6 Greater Yellowlegs, 1 Lesser
Yellowlegs, 1 baby Great Horned Owl on nest, 1 Barred Owl, 2 Pileated
Woodpeckers, 1 Purple Martin, 3 Hermit Thrushes, 1 Loggerhead Shrike, 3
White-eyed Vireos, 1 Blue-headed Vireo, 15 Parula Warblers, 20
Yellow-throated Warblers, 1 Pine Warbler, and 6 Common Yellowthroats.
