Yesterday and today, I saw a Red-necked Grebe in the pond that is right
next to the road at the northeast end of Ocracoke Island (on the SE side
of the road, just down from the ferry terminal).
One time when I checked the pond, I didn't see the grebe, but it must
have been there--was probably behind the marsh grass.
Come to think of it, this pond might be a reasonable spot to check for
the Clark's Grebe.
