Bluebill ducks



It's a little off-topic, but since the News and Observer was recently
taken to task for a little innocent nomenclatural casualness, I feel
it's only fair to note that the Jan-Feb 2000 issue of Audubon has
managed to illustrate a short note on Lesser Scaup populations with a
photo of a Ruddy Duck.  No doubt it's because the article uses the name
Lesser Scaup once and the name Bluebill four times!  I know Audubon is
hardly a birding magazine but still...
