F. Whistling-Duck@Savannah River NWR

Today (12/3/00) while headed home from viewing the sleety mango yesterday,
Terry West and I took a birding break by driving the wildlife drive at
Savannah River NWR. It was our first ducking of the winter, so it was
quite enjoyable. A single Fulvous Whistling-Duck was the most notable
species seen. It was in the last pond on the left before the 2 mile
post. We missed the previously reported Canvasback.
