Charlotte area C'birders:
There was a Bald Eagle at Coddle Creek Reservoir (Macedonia Church Rd.
side) Thursday afternoon. The bird, just shy of adult plumage, would
hover, talons dangling, then swoop down on a raft of coots. This lasted
for about five minutes after which the eagle flew to a perch and remained
there, cootless.
Also, there was a blue phase Snow Goose at the Twin Lakes Business Park in
Huntersville, NC, Wednesday 12/6. It was in the company of 90 Canadas and
was not seen Thursday, 12/7.
