According to the Bird Banding Lab, the longevity record for a Black-chinned
Hummingbird is 7 years, 0 months.  The longest lived hummingbird species in
their files is Broad-tailed Hummingbird at 12 years, 2 months and the
shortest lived is Allen's Hummingbird at 4 years, 0 months.  Generally, the
rule of thumb is that the larger birds live longer but there are always
exceptional individuals.  And keep in mind that longevity records represent
