Re: Raven in Davidson Co. NC



Hi Joe and the group;
I went a few months ago to Pilot Mountain State Park, which (I think) is
North of Winston. There are Ravens there, heard but not seen. They are said
to nest on Pilot Knob. This is well within the range you describe, though a
bit North.
Crows are also afraid of Ravens, as anyone in the mountains can tell you.
When crows aggravate me with their calls, I return a few Raven calls, and
the crows depart posthaste.
