Going home for the holidays and was wondering if, and where anyone had seen
any Am. Pipits in Edgecombe Co./Nash Co. lately. Anyone know?
Also, yesterday, Dec. 18 at Valle Crusis Park in Valle Crusis, NC, turned up
a neat little active sunny winter afternoon of birding. Got:
American Crow
Eastern Phoebe
N. Cardinal
Am. Goldfinch
Songs
White-crowned sparrows
E. bluebird
Myrtle warblers
Belted Kingfisher
N. Mockingbirds
C. wrens
Coopers Hawk (chasing a mocker)
Downy woodpeckers
Blue jays
Tis weird to see the weather today and think of this activity just
yesterday.
Thanks,
Jason
