Bird scarcity is due to habitat destruction, as we all know. Do your part.....
LEARN TO CREATE A WILDLIFE HABITAT AND BECOME A CERTIFIED HABITAT STEWARD.
The Habitat Steward Training Program, a course designed by the
National Wildlife Federation, is being offered at Blue Ridge
Community College in Flat Rock on four Tuesdays in February and
March. This is the first time the course is being offered in Western
North Carolina.
Classes are from 9 AM to 3 Pm on Feb 20th and 27th, and on March 6th
and 13th. The cost is $25 per person. The location is the Industrial
Skills Center, Room 129, at BRCC in Flat Rock, NC.
Deadline for registration is Feb 16th.

Ms. Finster also noted that after the program, there will be
quarterly updates on topics of interest to the Stewards.
