Hello, this is a Nov. 20 update of the carolina Rare Bird Alert featuring
birding news from North and South Carolina sponsored by the Carolina Bird
Club. Highlights on this report include:
GREEN- BREASTED MANGO
An imm. GREEN-BREASTED MANGO was banded in Concord, NC on 11-19 and seen
again today 11-20, though not until 2:10 PM. The bird is at the home of Lori
Turner, phone # 704-. Interested birders should call Ms. Turner to get
directions. So far, she has been very accommodating and excited to have this
incredible bird. This is about the 8th record for the U.S. and the 1st
outside of Texas.
